I just started to take pictures when it started to rain „smile“-Emoticon Fortunately only for 10 minutes or so and this cleared the air and gave that wonderful light. Nach zwei Stunden Aufstieg kamen wir fast ganz oben am Bjarnafoss an. This panorame consists of 15 pictures. Nach einer mehr oder weniger schlaflosen Nacht wegen Polarlichtern am Abend und am frühen Morgen fuhren wir vor Sonnenaufgang zum nahegelegenen Kirkjufell. The picture was taken with a 7mm lens (14mm on 35mm film) 5:04 Uhr am Morgen des 2. Okt. 2015 spannte sich dieses Band über den ganzen Himmel. Voted one of the ten most beautiful mountains in the world. Usually with the Kirkjufellsfoss in the foreground I looked for another perspective and found this pond. The weather was very instable and seconds after I took these pictures (panorma of 3) heavy rain started. What I only realized later on my computer was the green mood around the mountain and the reflection in the pond. This is the first Northern Light I did not see :-) Later in the evening though we got much more of it. Das ist der berühmte Kirkjufell Berg. Gewählt als einer der 10 schönsten Berge der Welt. Normalerweise sieht man ihn mit dem Kirkjufellsfoss Wasserfall im Vordergrund weswegen ich nach einer anderen Perspektive gesucht hatte. Das Wetter war sehr instabil und Sekunden nachdem ich die Bilder für dieses Panorma (3 Bilder) gemacht hatte begann es stark zu regnen. Was ich erst später am Computer bemerkt hatte war die grüne Aura um den Berg und die Reflektion in dem Tümpel. Das waren die ersten Polarlichter die ich nicht gesehen habe :-) Allerdings hatten wir später am Abend noch genug zu sehen bekommen. - Realisiert mit Pictrs.comGrundarfoss | We arrived in Grundarfjörður at heavy rain and stayed in the hotel room for some time. Then at about 4 p.m. the rain stopped and we went to the nearby Grundarfoss waterfall. The light was so beautiful and the sun was coming through the clouds and created a scene I will never forget... In my effort to get a nice picture I climbed higher and higher until I suddenly was at the top of the waterfall. Here I took this breathtaking panorama (7 pictures) Wir kamen in Grundarfjörður bei starkem Regen an und sind erstmal im Hotelzimmer geblieben. Dann um 16 Uhr hörte der Regen auf und wir gingen zum nahegelegenen Grundarfoss Wasserfall. Die Sonne brach gerade durch die Wolken und hat eine unglaubliche Lichstimmung erzeugt die ich wohl nie mehr vergessen werde.
